Call me crazy, but I thought this was supposed to be a summer road trip? Guess we were wrong.
After 15 hours in the car - 7 of which were filled with heavy rain and 2 filled with snow - we finally made it to Denver. Took this snapshot while driving through Cheyenne, Wyoming. It doesn't do the gnarliness justice, but you get the picture.
